Day 5 - Almost Done
By Bernadette Terzich
I didn't get to see Sasha in person but I tried to squeeze details out of him in order to update everyone! He still feels good and no side effects as of yet :) However, there are two things that are bothering him a little...nurses are putting steroid drops into his eyes so that they don't get infected, and it's drying them out. He also has the hiccups. He's had them even before going into the hospital so we aren't sure why he keeps getting them. Hiccups are annoying!! We will take hiccups over headaches and nausea though.
Sasha went to a "painting for the soul" class today. I think that's what he called it...I'm not sure. He didn't actually paint, he used charcoal. He told me that he's always wanted to use charcoal....something I've never known! Kinda weird. HA! Here's his work of art......I laugh every time I look at it. He did a great job, better than what I can do, but it's still so funny to me! Does it look familiar? :)

That's pretty much it besides some visitors throughout the day! We are still in awe of how God's hands have been upon Sasha. He's almost done with the chemo! A few more days..
"For your steadfast love is great to the Heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds." Psalm 57:10
That's all folks! For now.
